I’m a southerner, therefore, when it snows gorgeous, large, white flakes, I might take my kids outside a time or two in the middle of classes.

On the hundredth day of school all the students painted frogs together. They were adorable.

Sometimes the students have such atrocious spelling, or such interesting grammar, or such an odd vocabulary choice that I simply have to share their work.

Taking pictures from the hip at church. Hah. That’s Tammy. She’s nice.

After the very worst day at school yet, where I burst into tears in front of all my co-teachers, I came home to this lovely lovely box. Clearly God controls USPS timing. 🙂

And I’ll end with this page from “Tacky the Penguin”. It’s a worthwhile book. Buy it. Read it to your kids. You’re welcome.

  1. Tammy is nice. I remember that.

You should record a video of yourself reading Tacky the Penguin. You know, where you have the pages of the book filling the screen and you read in your most pleasant school teacher voice while your pink alien hand flips the pages. Mostly because I want to see the rest of the book.
